Greenhouse Days

You’ll look into my eyes and
Say I should beware and
I’m falling into grace and
Emptying the space and
Drifting out of place and
Just to have a taste now
Just to keep it steady now
Feeling like it’s ready to
Burn everything around
Run my ship into the ground
The silence shouting out so loud
Get out; get away from here
The chanting of the wholesome crowd
The cabin boy was trained to steer
The ship disappears to clouds
Wrapped in God’s white crying shroud
Condensation everywhere
We cannot see the rocks

Until it’s much too late
Naught to do but wait
